2026 Nassau/Suffolk Voter Guide
As in the past, there are 3 ways you can vote this year:
● You can vote by mail. If you qualify, New York residents may vote by absentee ballot. You can request your ballot at: https://elections.ny.gov/request-ballot The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is October 24th. Fill it out and mail it back before the end of business on Election Day, November 3rd, so that it is POST MARKED BY ELECTION DAY. Mailed in ballots must be received by November 10th. Absentee ballots can also be hand delivered to an early voting poll site between October 24th and November 1st or to the Board of Elections or to a poll site in your County by November 3rd at 9pm.
● You can vote early in person. The Early Voting period for the General Election will be October 24th - November 1st. You may vote at ANY early voting location in the county you reside.
○ For early voting locations in Nassau County go to: https://www.nassaucountyny.gov/DocumentCenter/View/54408/Nassau-Early-Voting-Flyer-General-Election-2026- You will be provided with dates, times, and locations of 27 early polling sites in Nassau.
○ For early voting locations in Suffolk County go to: https://suffolkcountyny.gov/Departments/BOE/2026-General-Locations-and-Timings You will be provided with the dates, times and locations of 28 early polling sites throughout Suffolk County.
● And of course, you can vote on Election Day at your regular polling location on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3rd. Here’s the list of pro-union candidates interviewed and endorsed by CWA Local 1104.
