The Leo Ryan Dick Retirees Chapter meets the first Monday of every month except in July & August. The meetings are held at the Levittown Knights of Columbus Hall on Jefferies Road across from the fire house. Chapter dues are only $20 and you can join at any meeting or by calling the union office at (516) 420-1104. At each meeting we will have a guest speaker and we serve a light lunch. Most important to all retirees is the upcoming expiration of the Verizon contract on August 2nd, 2008. Our Chapter supports our troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan, the N Y Association for Blind Athletes and Rebuilding Together, Long Island Inc.  

Getting involved with the Retirees Chapter is a great way to stay active and support the union through your retiree years.  A good number of people attend the meetings and it is a great way to maintain your union friendships and make new ones.  We support our union through political action, social outings and during mobilizations. We are kept in the loop on issues that affect our pension and health benefits.
