The Communications Workers of America Local 1104 is a 9,000 member local union representing various workers at Verizon in Nassau County, operators in upstate New York as well as graduate students across the great state of New York. Our website gives our members instant access to the information they need to help make their work life better, as well as educating members of the public on what Local 1104 is, and what we work and fight for. Verizon runs, but can't hide!

All CWA Locals across the country will be collecting proxies for the Verizon Annual Meeting. These proxies need to be signed with the same names that appear on the front and returned to your Chief Steward or the Local office. Verizon has chosen Nebraska for its Annual Meeting. This location has been chosen to make access difficult for all the locals in the northeast. We intend on being there despite the inconvenience to let Verizon know that they can run but they can't hide. The CWA intends on demonstrating at this meeting to send a message to Ivan and the share holders that without us, they have NO network. The CWA intends to take whatever steps are necessary to get a fair contract for all of its members. We ask everyone to collect as many proxies as you can so we are able to send a strong message to Verizon.
